An amazing puzzle combat, you and your heroes vs. monsters!
Let’s begin the amazing adventure in Fantasia, the magic world, with Fun-fun as your guide and defeat the invading monsters by matching 3 puzzles!
You’ll encounter many mysterious, dangerous, and amazing things in Fantasia. Don’t worry about anything! Once you match 3 puzzle stones, your special magic will make all obstacles nothing!
Defeat the monsters with Wands, Bows, and Swords. Heal your HP with a Potion and use magic powers with Magic Books by consuming Mana to attack the monsters. Then you will go on to the next level!
Rescue the heroes and make them your friends! You can summon them on stage and fight against monsters together.
However, there are also very dangerous creatures living in Fantasia. They will attack you to interrupt your adventure. You have to overcome all obstacles to save the world and return home!
Remember, the one and only person who is able to save the magic world is you.
Here’s some advice for your journey in Fantasia.
What is your first gaming experience?
-> When i was young, I played Space invaders, Pac-Man, Galaga, Lode runner.
When I was learning computer science at university, I played many pc games like simcity, civilization, xcom, ultima so on and many super famicom games like fire emblem, ogre tactics, final fantasy and many unix online game like text mud, nethack, hunt, empire.
What got you into programming games?
-> In 1985, I made simple shooting game on apple II with Basic and 6502 assembly language.
When I was learning computer science at university, I made some text mud games in 1993~1995.
I found myself exciting and concentrative when I developing a game.
What development tools or coding did you use?
-> I used many language c, c++, c#, flash, object-c so on and I used turbo-c, gcc, directx, unigine, gamebryo, unreal engine, cocos2d, xcode, visual studio so on while 25 years.
Now i use unity3d,visual studio and xcode.
What hurdles did you have making your current game?
-> Level design was impossibly difficult.
it tooks more than a year to design 100 levels.
In my analysis, the problems is attributed to a system that the player gives damage to monsters and takes damage from monsters.
After the completion of the game what game will you make?
-> I love rogue-like style games like nethack.
I will make simple rogue-like rpg but fun enough to nethack.
Finally I want to make a game like master of magic.
What other games have you made you made?
-> During my university days, I developed and serviced text mud and it had about 90 people at same time, and this led to an online game boom in Korea. But, I earned no money because I had fulfilled my military duty at the critical time.
After then, I tried to make more creative games but failed many times.
Finally, I was able to create a creative game.
I made puzzle duel tcg named runemaster 2003~2006.
I made runemasterpuzzle ( 2011~, googleplay, appstore )
I love the game that it’s rule is beautiful.
Experience of making puzzle game upgrade my game rule design skill more advanced.
My favourite computer was my Amiga and console the Megadrive do you have a favourite?
-> My favourite computer was my imac and console the Playstation 2.
What is your favourite retro game?
nethack, master of magic, civilization, king’s bounty, fire emblem, vga planet
Do you still game on the current consoles if so whats your favourite game?
(what console do you game on and what’s your favorite game?)
-> I played virtua fighter and tekken on Playstation and Xbox.
But now l’m not play any console game.
Whats the worst game you have ever played?
-> Nobunaga’s Ambition 6 ( koei )
It’s very sleeping and It took two months to conquer all territories.
But I love very much koei’s another game ‘Bandit Kings of Ancient China’.
Finally what game or feature would you like to see on Retrogamesmaster in the future?
-> I want to suggest list of game that have beautiful bone as a new feature.
I recommend these games are tetris, king’s bounty, oasis game, vga planet, bandit kings of ancient china, master of magic.
