What is your first gaming experience?

I played my first videogame at age 4. In 1986, the Ghost and Goblins arcade… (actually…  I never knew the name of the game until I search on google 20 years later. I never forgot the character of beard that runs along the cemetery…)

What got you into programming games?

Actually i don’t know code… i use Construct2 because has a visual interface that makes me easy that part of the process… but i must admit it took me a lot of time learn how to use it well (and i’m still learning).ss_26e5aa1af078c2126403bea6708aeb891d52f47b.1920x1080

What development tools or coding did you use?

Construct2. And Photoshop and After Effects for sprites. I will use Spriter on my next project.

What hurdles did you have making your current game?

Everything! Orange Adventure is my first game. So the first thing was learn to use the software; and understand how code works. All the events and that kind of things. The graphics wasn’t a big trouble because i have experience in motiong graphics and that stuffs.. (i’m a graphic designer)… but the challenge was the coding part. (or the C2 part).ss_26940d147f1b8d1fc7ea913e5207375904059e00.1920x1080

After the completion of the game what game will you make?

Right now i’m making a tale about Orange Adventure and trying to make a physical book. And maybe a mobile version of it. But the REAL next project will be a game about a robot like Megaman style… but not so innocent and cute. I have in mind something more harsh; with a story and emotional moments and videos between the stages. (Orange Adventure hasn’t that emotional side… and i think it’s important in a game, not essential, but is important).

What other games have you made you made?

None. Orange Adventure’s my first one. Made all just by me, and a friend made the music.ss_1c3779158937922659b2b23ca953b5c6bcd0c9b6.1920x1080

My favourite computer was my Amiga and console the Megadrive do you have a favourite?

Ufff, That’s a difficult question. I never had a SNES for example, but some friends have and i think that was a GREAT console. But my favorite was the MegaDrive. I still remember the Virtua Racing Deluxe, or Sonic & knuckles afternoons. What a time.

What is your favourite retro game?

Captain Tsubasa 2 on NES.ss_2ee8967463c9e16a9969e0c74a3ea2630aaba905.1920x1080

Do you still game on the current consoles if so whats your favourite game?

mmm, a lot. Battlefield 4 is amazing. (I think BF3 was better anyway). Rayman Legends. Last of US. Journey. There’s a lot of amazing big games out there. But i think the Indies are having a great moment too. Limbo for example was an amazing game.

Whats the worst game you have ever played?

mmm, i think some golf games on my NES.ss_355bafaad2785115a313a64e98ab6444e65d1bd2.1920x1080

Finally what game or feature would you like to see on Retrogamesmaster in the future?

To be honest, i found the page recently, and i love it! The retro books section is one of my favourites, and more game reviews will be great too. (I almost cried with emotion to find review of Super Monaco GP).
