++END TRANSMISSION – THANK YOU CITIZEN++
What is your first gaming experience?
I would say my earliest recollection would be playing the first Legend of Zelda game on NES. I died a lot.
What got you into programming games?
Having searched for a great cyberpunk MMO we have been sadly lacking in this genre, so we decided to make our own.
What development tools or coding did you use?
We decided to jump onto the Hero Engine cloud based development platform. This very handy engine includes integrated coding and versioning as well as ready made networking capability that the other platforms we looked at simply lacked.
What hurdles did you have making your current game?
Finding the right platform to create an MMO within budget was a tough one. Also building the team up to the current point took a while but we got there in the end.
After the completion of the game what game will you make?
I will take a short break (maybe a week or 2) and then move onto our post apocalyptic zombie survival MMO. This will be set apart from other games such as DAYZ and H1Z1 in the fact that it will be an actual MMO rather than small short term multiplayer.
What other games have you made you made?
As a whole, our team/company has not released any games before this one. Although our team members do have experience in working on other shipped titles with other companies. It has been interesting to mesh the varying experience levels together to form a cohesive team.
What is your favourite retro game?
Easy….Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Had many many hours of fun out of that growing up.
Do you still game on the current consoles if so whats your favourite game?
The last console i bought was an Xbox360. Played call of duty on it for a while but lost interest with it. It sits on my game collection shelf gathering dust (which reminds me, i need to buy some dusters).
Whats the worst game you have ever played?
Easy…The Crow: City of Angels on Sega Saturn. My god!!1!
Finally what game or feature would you like to see on Retrogamesmaster in the future?
It would be cool to have a forum section so members could sign up and take part in discussions about retro gaming life.
