AntiGravity

Interview with Ramy Adel by Peter Ward

What is your first gaming experience?

I have built my first game from 15 years ago, it was a tic-tac-toe for Windows. Then I have built many games using C++ and DirectX but none of them put in a market, antiGravity Puzzle Game is my first game I invest in it and put it on the market.

What got you into creating games?

I like coding the unusual situations which face programmers when creating games, it needs more creativity and innovation.

What development tools or coding did you use?

Java, Libgdx, Box2D

What hurdles did you have making your current game?

It takes 5 years to finish the game, through this time, many Android versions have been released, libgdx has been modified a couple of times so I changed the code many times, I re-wrote the whole thing twice literally.

After the completion of the game what game will you make?

I am just waiting to see what is going to happen with this one. But there are many ideas in my mind I am interested to code.

What other games have you made?

We have built many android apps for children (Mathbook Pre-kindergarten, Medical dictionaries, parental tool to track children development) and many other apps as a freelancer, but AntiGravity is our own first game. Please check ourCosTheta page in Google Play Store.

My favorite computer was my Amiga and console the Megadrive do you have a favorite?

I used to have SEGA for many years.

What is your favorite retro game?

Sokoban, The Castel, Skyroads, Abuse, Mario, Sinbad

Do you still game on the current consoles if so what’s your favorite game?

No

Whats the worst game you have ever played?

Any Football game, I hate this kind of games. But that is not because they are the worst, it is just I don’t have much hand skills to control the players and the ball.

Finally what game or feature would you like to see on Retrogamesmaster in the future?

To have an archive with photos for all the classic games.
