ROUTE INFORMATION

New York
--------
A fairly easy trip through this stage to prepare you for the many
hazards you face in future stages and a chance to get used to the
Turbo.2016-06-07_1000_001

Washington D.C.
---------------
Travel through a storm avoiding a police car and various other cars
you may encounter. Watch out for the trees.2016-06-07_1001

Pittsburgh
----------
Snow storms hinder your path on this stage which makes it very tricky
to see the corners as you approach them. Turbo away from the Police
Car but use your gears and brakes until you know the route. Low gears
help on tight angled corners.2016-06-07_1002

Indianapolis
------------
A nice stage to deftly test your use of the Turbo.2016-06-07_1003

STAGE POST 1
------------
A chance to customise your car. High grip tyres are recommended.2016-06-07_1004

Chicago
-------
Your first chance to drive at night. Watch out for road bumps and
sharp corners.2016-06-07_1004_001

St. Louis
---------
Once again a police car is in pursuit. Barrels split the road at some
points and although your score multiplies these obstacles reduce your
chances completing the stage.2016-06-07_1005

Memphis
-------
A tricky route which takes practice especially through the valleys of
rocks.2016-06-07_1005_001

Atlanta
-------
Sand drifts dog your route so stay as central as you can.2016-06-07_1006

STAGE POST 2
------------
2 options remain. Be careful which you choose.2016-06-07_1007

Miami
-----
Turbo recommended for this extremely fast level.2016-06-07_1007_001

New Orleans
-----------
Watch out for the S-bends. Use gears and brakes carefully.2016-06-07_1007_002

San Antonio
-----------
The track splits into two. Be careful which side you choose.2016-06-07_1008

Dallas
------
A rough ground desert terrain looks deceivingly easy to negotiate.
Beware unmarked corners.2016-06-07_1008_001

STAGE POST 3
------------
Only one remaining option to take. Did you take the correct option at
the last stage post?2016-06-07_1009

Oklahoma City
-------------
Encounter bridges and fields. Lightning reflexes required for sharp
corners.2016-06-07_1009_001

Denver
------
The most difficult stage of the whole route, very little signposting
and blizzards slow your path.2016-06-07_1009_002

Grand Canyon
------------
A reasonably simple stage ready for your home run, but narrow roads
make it tricky.2016-06-07_1010

Los Angeles
-----------
The final stage eases you to the finish.2016-06-07_1011

Review:

I reviewed the original Outrun a few months back and I said how addictive the original game was at home and in the Arcade.
So when I heard that Turbo Outrun was coming out for the Spectrum I was excited. I never got to play this in the Arcade but played the original alot.
Could the second game be an improvement on an already classic game?
The Answer is YES! The graphics and colour on this game are outstanding the game is textured again wather than blocky colours like the other computer versions which I prefer.
The game plays as good as the original travelling across the USA and this time you have turbos and at certain time tune ups to improve your cars performance.
The levels are well designed and the car is bigger than in the original. The bright colours for each level are a pleasure to watch and the speed and landscape outstanding.
Not much more to say a fantastic racer please play this.
